Our Story
Why we built this
A home that began with family
Designed by Nature Assisted Living didn’t start as a business plan. It started as a promise to someone we love.
A husband and wife, and a family story
We are a husband and wife. Our working lives have been in labor-services and finance — fields that taught us to listen carefully, plan thoughtfully, and take real responsibility for the people in our care. But the reason we built Sarah House is personal.
Supporting an older family member through a difficult transition showed us, up close, what was missing. Too often the options felt cold, impersonal, or built around efficiency rather than the person. We kept asking the same question: what would we want for someone we love?
Sarah House is our answer. A home, not a facility. A place shaped by the people who live in it. A place to land, and a home to belong.
We look forward to introducing ourselves by name and sharing more of our story with you in person.
The meaning behind the name
Designed by Nature reflects our belief that the best care follows the natural rhythm of a person’s life — their habits, their preferences, their relationships. Sarah House carries a personal meaning for our family, one we’ll share with you when we meet.
What guides us
Dignity first
Every decision starts with respect for the person — their history, their preferences, their voice.
A home, not a system
We build around people, not processes. The home bends to fit the person, not the other way around.
Honesty over pressure
We’d rather have an honest conversation than a quick decision. The right fit matters more than a fast one.
Family included
The people who love you are part of this home, not visitors to it.
